Discover the Heart of the Moleshill Retreat

As a family we love being in nature,  and as a response to lockdown in 2020, we decided to create a campsite that was totally immersed in it.  Somewhere for our loved ones to stay when they visited.  We have built and nurtured this space into a sanctuary for wildlife and people.  Every year we notice the various species of moth, butterfly, bird, plants, some are consistent, some are different, depends on weather and plants found or introduced.  I am always taking photos and notes, a bit of a hobby of mine!  Over the past 5 years we have planted over 1500 trees and hedges including an orchard.  One day we will have an abundance of apples, pears, cherries and plums!  The hay is cut once a year, to provide a quality source of food for a local farmers sheep in the winter.  We also keep some chickens in the lower field, they lay the most wonderful eggs which we will share with you when available.  If you love walking and cycling, we can give you some ideas of where to start your adventure!
